Un impegno non indifferente per addobbare di fiori e piante Piazza San Pietro durante la Settimana Santa. Se ne occupa il Servizio Giardini e Ambiente del Governatorato dello Stato della Città del Vaticano, con la collaborazione di Maestri fioristi olandesi. Ed è proprio dall’Olanda, oltre che dall’Italia che provengono molti fiori che orneranno la Piazza nel Tempo liturgico più importante dell’anno. Ce ne parla, in questa intervista a www.vaticanstate.va, Rafael Tornini, responsabile del Servizio Giardini e Ambiente.

Una alfombra de flores para la Plaza de San Pedro 

Un esfuerzo considerable requiere el embellecimiento floral y vegetal de la Plaza de San Pedro durante la Semana Santa. De ello se encarga el Servicio de Jardines y Medio Ambiente de la Gobernación del Estado de la Ciudad del Vaticano, en colaboración con maestros floristas neerlandeses.

Precisamente de los Países Bajos —además de Italia— proceden muchas de las flores que engalanan la Plaza durante el tiempo litúrgico más importante del año. Nos lo explica, en esta entrevista concedida a www.vaticanstate.va, Rafael Tornini, responsable del Servicio de Jardines y Medio Ambiente.

Un tapis de fleurs pour la Place Saint-Pierre

Un effort important est accompli pendant la Semaine Sainte pour décorer la Place Saint-Pierre avec des fleurs et des plantes. C’est le Service des Jardins et de l'Environnement du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican qui s’en charge, avec la collaboration de Maîtres fleuristes hollandais. 

A carpet of flowers for St. Peter's Square 

During Holy Week, a considerable commitment is undertaken to decorate St. Peter's Square with flowers and plants. The Garden and Environmental Service of the Governorate of the Vatican City State is responsible for this, with the collaboration of Dutch master florists. And it is precisely from Holland, as well as from Italy, that many of the flowers originate that will adorn the Square during the most important liturgical time of the year, Easter.
