The profession of faith and the oath of fidelity are two important events in the lives of the employees of the Governorate, which occur after they are hired  on a trial basis. Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, presided at the so-called swearing ceremony on Thursday morning, 13 February, in the Governorate’s Church of Mary, Mother of the Family. Also present were Sister Raffaella Petrini, Secretary General of the Governorate, and a number of Directors.

I will remember you in my prayers and in the sacrifice of Mass

On Friday morning, 21 February, Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, presided at Holy Mass for the employees of the Directorate for Infrastructures and Services. He made two promises: “I will carry you in my heart” and “I will remember you in my prayers and in the daily sacrifice of Mass”.

Il y a un moment important dans la vie des employés du Gouvernorat, qui a lieu après leur nomination à l’essai : la profession de foi et le serment de fidélité. Cette cérémonie du serment s’est déroulée dans la matinée du jeudi 13 février, dans l’église de Marie, Mère de la Famille au Gouvernorat. Elle a été présidée par le Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, Président du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican, en présence de Sœur Raffaella Petrini, Secrétaire générale, et de plusieurs Directeurs.

A sign of Spain’s presence in the heart of the Holy See

La Vierge la plus chère au peuple espagnol, celle qui a le plus marqué l’évangélisation de la péninsule Ibérique, étant apparue à l’apôtre Jacques en l’an 40, possède désormais son image reproduite sur le mur du « Bastione di Maestro » des Jardins du Vatican. C’est le Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, Président émérite du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican, qui a présidé la cérémonie d’inauguration et de bénédiction de ce nouveau décor mural en céramique, dans la matinée du mercredi 24 septembre.

Le souvenir dans la prière et dans le sacrifice de la Messe

Une promesse : « Je vous porterai dans mon cœur » et « Je me souviendrai de vous dans ma prière et dans le sacrifice quotidien de la Messe ». C’est ainsi que le Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, Président du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican, s’est adressé aux employés de la Direction des infrastructures et des services, à l’occasion de la célébration de la Messe qu’il a présidée dans la matinée du vendredi 21 février, dans la zone industrielle du Vatican, une semaine avant son départ en tant que Président du Gouvernorat, pour « laisser Sœur Raffaella poursuivre le chemin entrepris ».
