A new exhibition begins March 14th at the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo
“El Greco in the Mirror: Two Paintings Compared”
“El Greco in the Mirror: Two Paintings Compared” is the title of the exhibition that will be inaugurated on Saturday, March 14, at 4:00 PM, at the Apostolic Palace of Castel Gandolfo.
Those attending the opening ceremony will include Sr. Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, Barbara Jatta, Director of Vatican Museums and Cultural Heritage, Andrea Tamburelli, Director of the Pontifical Villas, Lucio d’Alessandro, Rector of the Suor Orsola Benincasa University of Naples, Fabrizio Biferali, Curator of the 15th–16th Century Art Department of the Vatican Museums and Alessandra Zarelli of the Paintings and Wooden Materials Restoration Laboratory of the Vatican Museums.
The event will be followed by a concert titled “Sorrow and Prayer”, featuring Stabat Mater by Giovanni Battista Pergolesi. Performers will include the Orchestra delle Cento Città and the Eos Choir, conducted by Mirco Roverelli.
