General Secretariat

The General Secretary is in charge of the General Secretariat, which assists the Government Bodies, according to their functions.

The General Protocol and the Central Archive

The General Protocol and the Central Archive are responsible for the general protocol and the archival system of the Bodies of Government and the entities of the Governorate. The Central Archive also stores the Historic Archive of the Governorate, and is responsible for cataloguing  documents regarding individual Bodies.

Control and Inspection Unit

The Control and Inspection unit oversees the observance of norms and procedures and their implementation, and evaluates the efficiency of the activities of the Bodies. The Control and Inspection Unit reports back to the Bodies of Government and formulates suitable proposals. It cooperates with Bodies of inspection and control outside the Governorate in the implementation of directives it receives from Government Bodies.

Events Coordination

The Events Coordination sector, implements directives it receives and organizes events, also in cooperation with other bodies and entities.

Government Bodies can assign the General Secretariat with further tasks, for a fixed term.
