Directorate for infrastructures and services
The Directorate for Infrastructures and Services is divided into:
a) the infrastructure sector, which includes the offices of Study and Planning, Building, Laboratory and Plant Engineering, and Procurement and Central Warehouse;
b) the service of Garden and Environment and the Floreria
The Directorate is responsible for:
a) real estate;
b) planning and implementation of projects;
c) maintenance of properties under the Governorate;
d) planning, implementation and maintenance of technical, plumbing and electrical systems and supervision of their installation, in cooperation with other Directorates;
e) technical supervision of construction activities;
f) protection of the State’s environment and ecology, maintenance of the gardens, roads and fountains.
The Directorate provides technical advice on permits required for planning and implementing projects in the areas mentioned in Article 1 of the present Law. The Directorate can supervise the projects, with the exception of those that fall under the competences of the Directorate of Museums and Cultural Heritage and of the Permanent Commission for the Protection of Historical and Artistic Monuments of the Holy See.
- For inspections of sites and systems, the Directorate can cooperate with the Fire Department, and when necessary, with the Directorate of Health and Hygiene.
