Directorate of Health and Hygiene

1.The Directorate of Health and Hygiene is responsible for the healthcare of persons and the protection of public health and hygiene, including the health and safety of workers in the workplace.

2.In fulfilling its health and hygiene functions, the Vatican Pharmacy also operates in this area. It has technical and administrative autonomy, is responsible for the supply and distribution of pharmaceutical products and parapharmaceutical products, and produces and sells its own medical remedies and galenic formulations.
