A Series of Lectures on Vatican City State Law

A series of lectures on Vatican City State Law, promoted by the Pontifical Lateran University’s Faculty of Civil Law and coordinated by Professor Carni, is scheduled to begin on 24 February. During the course, several law professors and legal experts will deliver lectures. Professor Carni will deliver the first lecture, which will be an introduction to the history of Vatican Law.

Professor Carni’s lecture will be followed by: Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, Prefect of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, who will deliver a lecture on “The Holy See, Vatican City State and the International Community”, Monday, 3 March; Professor Carni, who will deliver a lecture on the “Constitutive and Constitutional Principles of Vatican City State. The New Fundamental Law”, Monday, 10 March; Mr. Puglisi-Alibrandi, Deputy Secretary General of the Governorate and lawyer, who will speak about “The Governorate of Vatican City State”, Monday 17, March; Professor Venerando Marano, President of the Tribunal of Vatican City State, who will speak about “Sources of Vatican Law, The Vatican Judicial System”, Tuesday, 25 March; Professor Paolo Papanti Pelletier, Sole Judge of Vatican City State, who will speak about “Civil Law and Civil Procedural Law of Vatican City State”, Monday, 31 March; Professor Vincenzo Buonomo, General Counsellor of Vatican City State, who will speak about “Vatican City State and Extraterritorial Properties”, Monday, 7 April; Professor Pasquale Passalacqua, Director of the Labour Office of the Apostolic See, who will speak about “Vatican Labour Law”, Monday, 28 April; Professor, Roberto Zannotti, Adjunct Promoter of Justice of Vatican City State, who will speak about “Criminal Law and Criminal Procedural Law of Vatican City State”, Wednesday, 7 May; Professor  Settimio Carmignani Caridi, adjunct Promoter of Justice of Vatican City State, who will speak about the “Administrative Law of the Vatican” Monday, 12 May; Professor Vincenzo Buonomo who will speak about “Vatican City State in International Relations”, Monday, 19 May; Mr. Federico Antellini Russo, Director of the Supervisory and Financial Information Authority (ASIF) who will speak about “The Vatican’s Monetary and Financial System”, Monday, 26 May; Mr. Alessandro Cassinis Righini, Auditor General of Vatican City State, who will speak about “Pope Francis’ Financial Reforms of the Holy See – Vatican City State”, Wednesday, 28 May, which will conclude the course.
