Benedictine nuns of the Mater Ecclesiae Monastery in the Vatican pray for Pope Francis’ recovery

The six Benedictine nuns who reside in the Vatican’s Mater Ecclesiae Monastery have been praying for Pope Francis’ recovery, ever since he entered Rome’s Gemelli Hospital.

They lift prayers to the Lord several times throughout the day, both individually and as a community, asking God to give Pope Francis the strength and health needed to overcome his illness, so that he may soon resume his everyday life at Casa Santa Marta, at the service of the Church.

At the same time, the Benedictine nuns from the Abbey of Saint Scholastica in Buenos Aires’ Victoria Province in the Diocese of San Isidoro, are praying alongside their sisters in the Vatican, so that the Pope may feel the closeness and affection of all the people of Argentina, in particular, of the country’s Christian community.
