Twelfth anniversary of Pope Francis’ election

The Governorate of Vatican City State joyfully joins in celebrations for the 12th anniversary of the election of Pope Francis. 

Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Archbishop Emilio Nappa, Mr. Giuseppe Puglisi-Alibrandi (lawyer), respectively, President and Secretaries General of the Governorate of Vatican City State, along with the Directors, Office Managers and employees of the Governorate are grateful to the Pontiff for the years he spent at the service of the Church. 

In this delicate moment for his health, we lift up prayers to the Lord for a speedy recovery, so he can continue to carry out his Petrine ministry for many more years. 

We thank him for the gift of his presence, for his attention to the least ones and those marginalized by society, and for being an authentic promoter of dialogue and peace. 

The entire working community of the Governorate wishes Pope Francis a happy anniversary and reaffirms its affection and closeness, ensuring him of prayers for his recovery.
