Joint philatelic issue between the Vatican City State and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta

A postage stamp to celebrate the canonization of Carlo Acutis
Wearing a red t-shirt and a backpack on his shoulders, with a gentle smile that expresses his love of life, the serene portrait is of 15-year old Carlo Acutis immersed in nature on Mount Subasio, near Assisi, during one of his last field trips before his untimely death. It is the image reproduced on the postage stamp dedicated to the canonization of Carlo Acutis on April 27.
The philatelic issue is curated by the Post and Philately Service of the Governorate of the Vatican City State and is intended to be a tribute to this young man, who was able to live the Gospel with the spontaneity and vivacity typical of his age. Young Carlo Acustis made it the compass of his existence.
The postage stamp is issued jointly with the Magistral Post of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta and has a face value of 1.30 Euro.
In addition to the stamp, the Postal and Philately Service has also prepared a special folder, where the two values, respectively of the Vatican and of the Sovereign Order of Malta, are presented, accompanied by the official souvenir envelopes and the special cancellations made for the canonization. The price of the commemorative folder will be 10.00 Euros.
The new issue and the special folder will be on sale, after the canonization, scheduled for Sunday morning, April 27, at the Post Office in St. Peter's Square and from the following day at all Vatican Post offices as well as at the Magistral Post Office of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta, at the headquarters in Via delle Carrozze 79, Rome.
