New Appointments and Confirmation of Members of the Pontifical Commission for the Vatican City State

As announced by the Holy See Press Office Bulletin, on Wednesday, October 15, Pope Leo XIV appointed as Members of the Pontifical Commission for the Vatican City State Cardinal Blase Joseph Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago (United States of America), and Cardinal Baldassare Reina, Vicar General of His Holiness for the Diocese of Rome (Italy).

In addition, for the current term, the Holy Father confirmed the Members of the same Commission the following Eminent Cardinals: Kevin Joseph Farrell, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Laity, Family and Life; Arthur Roche, Prefect of the Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments; Lazzaro You Heung-sik, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Clergy; and Claudio Gugerotti, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Eastern Churches.
