Agreement Signed Between the Governorate, RBHold and Fondazione Futuro Salute ETS
Healthcare Assistance for Consecrated Religious and Missionaries
An initiative of significant ethical and social value, aimed at studying, developing and implementing a financially sustainable solution for the healthcare and assistance of consecrated religious, missionaries and other related categories of persons who are not enrolled, or are not eligible for enrolment, in the Vatican Healthcare Assistance Fund.
This is the subject of the agreement signed on the morning of Monday, 13 July, at the Governorate of Vatican City State, with RBHold S.p.A. and Fondazione Futuro Salute ETS. The agreement was signed by Sister Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate, Roberto Favaretto, President of RBHold S.p.A., and Marco Favaretto, Executive Director of Fondazione Futuro Salute ETS.
The project aims to facilitate access to preventive healthcare and medical treatment through a specific organizational and financial model inspired by the principles of mutual solidarity and sustainability, with the exclusion of any individual profit-making purpose. The resources committed to the project will be used exclusively to support and further develop the solidarity objectives that constitute its mission. Accordingly, the project will be implemented in accordance with a sustainable medium- and long-term economic model.
The agreement marks the beginning of a structured collaboration between the Governorate of Vatican City State, RBHold S.p.A. and Fondazione Futuro Salute ETS. The Governorate will identify the beneficiaries and ensure healthcare governance through the Directorate of Health and Hygiene, which will assess clinical appropriateness and coordinate care pathways. RBHold S.p.A. will contribute its expertise to the development of the organizational and financial model, while Fondazione Futuro Salute ETS will promote solidarity initiatives and raise the resources necessary to ensure the project's long-term sustainability.
