Annona closes for renovation works

In a statement by the Directorate of the Economy, the Governorate of Vatican City State has announced that as of Monday, 13 January 2025, the “Annona” supermarket will be closed for renovation works to the entire building.

One hundred years since it first opened, the shop will be updated while continuing to remain true to its mission, which is to provide a fundamental service to employees of the Governorate and of the Holy See by offering them the possibility of doing their shopping close to work.

The renovation works have been organized in such a way as to limit potential inconveniences to a minimum.

During the works, solutions may be identified that could guarantee a partial service to customers.

Customers will be notified about this possibility promptly.
