The Directorate of Museums and Cultural Heritage organizes 13 musical events

“Music at the Museums” for the 2025 Jubilee Year

“Music at the Museums”, a series of concerts organized by the Directorate of Museums and Cultural Heritage, will begin on 27 February and continue until 22 November. Concerts will be held at the Vatican Museums and at the Castel Gandolfo Museum Complex.

The 13 musical evenings, which are part of cultural events organized for the Jubilee Year, are free of charge to visitors with a valid entrance ticket to the Museums.

Thanks to the artistic direction of the Italian National Music Committee (CIDIM), several musical bands will take part in the series, including the bands of the Italian State Police and of the Local Police (Roma Capitale), who will perform in the Museum’s New Wing. The bands of the Gendarmerie Corps and of the Pontifical Swiss Guard will perform together for the first time, in the Pontifical Palace of Castel Gandolfo’s Cortile d’Onore (Courtyard of Honour).

As in previous editions, in cooperation with the Italian National Music Committee, four evenings will be dedicated to emerging talents from the most prestigious international music academies.

Several internationally famous performers will participate in the concerts, offering listeners the opportunity of experiencing 700 years of music history, also thanks to the collaboration of the Cultural Musical Association, “Maria Di Pasquale” E.T.S.
