Opening of a Parapharmacy in St. Peter's Square

At the service of Jubilee pilgrims

In view of the expected increase in the number of visitors and pilgrims for the Jubilee Year, an over-the-counter pharmacy, under the direction of the Vatican Pharmacy, will be placed in the Charlemagne Wing of Saint Peter’s Square. Fr. Iulian Misariu will bless the premises during an inauguration ceremony on Monday morning, 16 December.

The new facility will sell healthcare products that do not require prescriptions, including a vast array of personal hygiene products and products for infants, as well as exclusive products bearing the Vatican Pharmacy brand for a limited period throughout the Jubilee, such as cosmetics, items for specific necessities and supplements.

The new pharmacy will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Customers may enter the premises at the latest at 7:15 p.m.
