The Vatican Delegation participates in the closing ceremony of WTSA-24 in New Delhi
The Secretary General of the Governorate, Sr. Raffaella Petrini, and the Director of the Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Systems, Mr. Antonino Intersimone, respectively, Chief and member of the Vatican Delegation to the World Telecommunication Standardization Assembly (WTSA-24), are back in New Delhi for the conclusion of the global assembly. The closing ceremony will take place on Thursday, 24 October.
Two members of the Vatican Delegation, Mr. Luigi Salimbeni, Deputy Director of the Governorate’s Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Systems, and Mr. Sergio Salvatori, technical officer of the Technological Direction of the Dicastery for Communication participated in the Assembly’s proceedings.
The Assembly was organized by the ITU-T, the International Telecommunication Union (Telecommunication Standardization Bureau), of which Vatican City State is a member, and was inaugurated on Tuesday morning, 15 October, by India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It is the first time that the Assembly takes place in the Asia-Pacific region, and in particular, in India.
