Con el fin de proceder a la eliminación de los depósitos y a la recuperación de la calidad cromática y luminística deseada por Miguel Ángel, el Juicio Universal, conservado en la Capilla Sixtina, será sometido a una intervención de mantenimiento extraordinario. Durante aproximadamente tres meses, la obra maestra de Miguel Ángel será objeto de un tratamiento de limpieza.
Per la rimozione di depositi, il recupero della qualità cromatica e luministica voluta da Michelangelo, il “Giudizio Universale”, conservato nella Cappella Sistina, sarà sottoposto a una manutenzione straordinaria. Per circa tre mesi, il capolavoro di Michelangelo verrà interessato da un intervento di pulitura.
Pour éliminer les dépôts et retrouver la qualité chromatique et lumineuse voulue par Michel-Ange, le « Jugement dernier » conservé dans la Chapelle Sixtine fera l’objet d’une maintenance extraordinaire. Pendant environ trois mois, le chef-d’œuvre de Michel-Ange sera soumis à une intervention de nettoyage.
Del 19 al 21 de septiembre se celebró en Ottawa, Canadá, el encuentro internacional anual de los responsables de los Capítulos de los Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums. En representación del Vaticano se hallaba una Delegación, encabezada por Sor Raffaella Petrini, Presidenta de la Gobernación del Estado de la Ciudad del Vaticano, y por el abogado Giuseppe Puglisi-Albrandi, Secretario General, junto con una representación de la Dirección de Museos y Bienes Culturales, de la Oficina de Relaciones con los Patrons of the Arts of the Vatican Museums y de la Oficina de Personal.

Dal 19 al 21 settembre si è svolto a Ottawa, in Canada, l'incontro internazionale annuale dei responsabili dei Capitoli dei Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums. In rappresentanza del Vaticano c'era una Delegazione, guidata da Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Presidente del Governatorato dello Stato della Città del Vaticano, e dall’avvocato Giuseppe Puglisi-Albrandi, Segretario Generale, con una rappresentanza della Direzione dei Musei e dei Beni Culturali, dell'Ufficio Relazioni con i Patrons of the Arts of the Vatican Museums e dell’Ufficio del Personale.
C’est au cours de ces dernières semaines de février, une fois achevée l’installation des échafaudages dans la Chapelle Sixtine, qu’a débuté la maintenance extraordinaire du Jugement dernier de Michelangelo Buonarroti, intervention que nous attendions avec un grand enthousiasme.

Offrir la possibilité de restaurer, récupérer, conserver et perpétuer l’intégrité des œuvres d’art conservées dans les Musées du Vatican est un défi et un choix de vie qui engage chaque donateur individuellement. More than a simple contribution, the mission of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums is a true vocation. Providing the opportunity to restore, recover, preserve, and perpetuate the integrity of the artworks housed in the Vatican Museums is both a challenge and a life choice that involves each and every donor personally. This is certainly the case for the members of the Florida Chapter of the Patrons, who recently contributed to the restoration of twelve Roman statues and two sarcophagi displayed in the niches of the Atrium of the Quattro Cancelli. To remove surface deposits and restore the chromatic and luminous qualities intended by Michelangelo, the monumental fresco Last Judgment, preserved on the altar wall of the Sistine Chapel, will undergo extraordinary maintenance. For approximately three months, Michelangelo’s masterpiece will be the focus of a cleaning intervention.
The annual International Meeting of Chapter Leaders of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums took place in Ottawa, Canada, from September 19 to 21. The delegation from Vatican City was led by Sr. Rafaella Petrini, President of the Governorate and Giuseppe Puglisi-Albrandi, Secretary General. Among other officials, Mons. Terence Hogan, Coordinator of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums also attended.
