On the 1025th Anniversary of the Apparition in Foggia Italy of Mary Mother of God Crowned

The Postal and Philatelic Service of the Directorate of Telecommunications and Information Systems of the Governorate of the Vatican City State has created a special postmark to mark the 1025th anniversary of the apparition in Foggia, Italy of Mary Mother of God Crowned.

The postmark features the façade of the Sanctuary of Mary Mother of God Crowned in Foggia, the profile of the statue of the Virgin venerated there, and the Marian crown with twelve stars. The following inscriptions complete the postmark: “Apparizione della Madre di Dio Incoronata a Foggia – 1025° Anniversario”, “25.04.2026” and “Poste Vaticane”.

Philatelic material to be postmarked, duly stamped by the applicants, must be received by the Cancellation Department of the Postal and Philatelic Service by 30 May 2026.
