The band of the Vatican Gendarmerie accompanied the Corpus Christi procession in the Vatican Gardens
The traditional procession for the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, Corpus Christi, took place on Thursday, June 4, in the verdant setting of the Vatican Gardens.
The rite was presided over by Cardinal Kurt Koch, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, accompanied by priests, women and men religious, members of the Pontifical Swiss Guard, and lay faithful.
The procession was accompanied by the Band of the Corps of the Vatican Gendarmerie, conducted by Maestro Stefano Iannilli and coordinated by Deputy Commissioner of the Gendarmerie Mauro Colaiacomo, who is responsible for its regulation and operations.
The celebration was organized by the Pontifical Teutonic College of Saint Mary in Campo Santo.
