New philatelic emission from the Vatican Post Office May 27, 2025

The Vatican Postal and Philatelic service announces the following emission of new stamps, scheduled on Tuesday 27 May 2025:
- The philatelic emission of the beginning of Pope Leo XIV’s new Pontificate, containing the values corresponding to the four ports currently in force for the Vatican City State: € 1.25 - € 1.30 - € 2.45 - € 3.20.
In addition, new following philatelic emissions will be emitted in accordance to the official program:
- 5th centenary of the birth of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina - € 1.25
- 50th Anniversary of the canonization of Saint Vicenta Maria - € 2.45
- Witnesses of Hope - Saint Maria of Jesus Crucified Baoundy - € 1.30
- 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicea - € 2.00
- Europe Series: national archaeological discoveries - € 0.10 / € 0.15 / € 1.30
On May 27th and 28th, an operator will be present at the Post Office located in St. Peter's Square for the special cancellation stamped Die Emissionis.
Finally, philatelic collectors are reminded that the quantity of these emissions will be in line with market demands, available for purchase through the e-shop channels of the Vatican philatelic and numismatics marketing office (www.cfn.va) which will be reactivated in the upcoming summer period.
