The Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Governorate of the Vatican City State have signed an Act of Donation

For the restoration of four historic statues in the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls

A contribution has been made to carry out restoration work on four sculptures inside the Papal Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. Specifically, these include the two statues representing Saint Peter and Saint Paul located inside the Basilica itself, and two sculptures situated in the quadriportico depicting the figures of Saint Paul and Saint Luke.

This is the object of the Act of Donation stipulated by Antonio Ristaino, Dean Notary of the Governorate of Vatican City State, signed between the Governorate of the Vatican City State and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation of Azerbaijan. The document was signed on Wednesday afternoon, April 29, in the meeting room of the Presidency by Sr. Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate, and Dr. Anar Alakbarov, Executive Director of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Among those present at the signing ceremony were H.E. Ilgar Mukhtarov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Holy See, , Engineer Salvatore Farina, Director of Infrastructure and Services, Attorney Giuseppe Camardi, as witness, Giulia Comune, as witness, and Rosa Margot Talamo, as interpreter.

The donation expresses the sound friendship and mutual cooperation between the Governorate and Azerbaijan.
