I Musei del Papa: tesoro di arte e di fede

Il legame tra arte e fede, tra bellezza e verità, tra evangelizzazione e opere dell’ingegno e il ruolo che rivestono in questo contesto i Musei Vaticani. Sono gli argomenti trattati durante una tavola rotonda tra il Cardinale Blase Joseph Cupich, Arcivescovo di Chicago, e Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Segretario Generale del Governatorato dello Stato della Città del Vaticano.

Il Capitolo dell’Illinois dei Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums festeggia i 10 anni dell’iniziativa “Integrating Art & Faith”. L’evento si svolge all’University Club di Chicago, sabato pomeriggio, 2 novembre, e prevede la partecipazione del Cardinale Blase Joseph Cupich, Arcivescovo di Chicago, e di Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Segretario Generale del Governatorato dello Stato della Città del Vaticano.

Les Musées du Pape: un trésor d’art et de foi

Le lien entre l’art et la foi, entre la beauté et la vérité, entre l’évangélisation et les œuvres de la créativité et le rôle que les Musées du Vatican jouent dans ce contexte. Tels étaient les thèmes abordés lors d’une table ronde entre le Cardinal Blase Joseph Cupich, Archevêque de Chicago, et Sœur Raffaella Petrini, Secrétaire générale du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican. La réunion était animée par le Révérend Louis J. Cameli, Délégué pour la formation et la mission de l’archidiocèse. Les membres du chapitre de l’Illinois des Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums, réunis à l’occasion du 10^e anniversaire de l’initiative « Intégrer l’art et la foi », ont assisté au débat. L’événement, qui a attiré de nombreux participants, s’est tenu au University Club de Chicago dans l’après-midi du 2 novembre. Étaient présents, entre autres, Monseigneur Terence Hogan, Coordinateur du Bureau des relations avec les Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums , le Révérend Gerald Gunderson, Anna Shea, Présidente du chapitre, Donna Nelson-Stride, Vice-Présidente, et Susan J. Miller Overby, trésorière. Dans son dialogue avec Sœur Petrini, le Cardinal Cupich, qui a toujours soutenu les Patrons locaux, a illustré les raisons pour lesquelles les Papes ont décidé de rassembler des chefs-d’œuvre de l’art dans une structure aussi splendide.

Maximizing cooperation during the Jubilee

Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga and Sr. Raffaella Petrini, President and Secretary General of the Governorate, respectively, met with a high-level delegation of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, led by the Director of the Agency, Councillor Roberto Alesse, on Wednesday morning, 30 October, at the Palace of the Governorate. Among the themes addressed during the meeting, were cooperation and future projects to maximize efficiency and quick customs checks, aimed at ensuring the correct transit of goods and the security of citizens, in view of the approaching Jubilee year.

Du 18 au 23 septembre, Sœur Raffaella Petrini, Secrétaire générale du Gouvernorat, se trouve à la Nouvelle-Orléans, aux États-Unis, pour participer à la réunion des responsables des Chapters des Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums. La réunion annuelle est une occasion importante de débat et de réflexion pour établir le calendrier des activités pour les mois à venir. Le programme comprend des réunions réservées et des sessions collectives, au cours desquelles les projets et les prévisions pour les prochaines activités seront discutés. Le dernier jour, l'Archevêque de la Nouvelle-Orléans, S.Exc. Mgr Gregory Michael Aymond, présidera la célébration eucharistique dans la Basilique Saint-Louis. 

Dal 18 al 23 settembre, Sr. Raffaella Petrini, Segretario Generale del Governatorato, è a New Orleans, negli Stati Uniti d’America, per partecipare all’incontro dei leaders dei Chapters dei Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums.

Sometimes words alone are not enough to express what one feels within, when one’s service to the Pope, to the Hoy See and to the Governorate ends, after 53 years. The farewell becomes imbued with feelings, memories and affection, as occurred during the farewell ceremony of Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, President of the Pontifical Commission for Vatican City State and President of the Governorate, until 28 February. Having completed his 80th birthday, he wished to step down by celebrating Holy Mass on Monday morning, 3 March, in the Church of Mary, Mother of the Family.

Raffaella Petrini, respectivamente Presidente y Secretaria General de la Gobernación del Estado de la Ciudad del Vaticano, inaugurarán el Belén e iluminarán el árbol de Navidad, instalado en la Plaza de San Pedro. La ceremonia tendrá lugar el sábado 7 de diciembre a las 18.30 horas.

Le Cardinal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga et Sœur Raffaella Petrini, respectivement Président et Secrétaire générale du Gouvernorat de l’État de la Cité du Vatican, inaugureront la crèche et allumeront l’arbre de Noël installé sur la Place Saint-Pierre. La cérémonie aura lieu le samedi 7 décembre, à 18h30.

La despedida se impregna de emociones, recuerdos y afectos. Esto fue precisamente lo que se vivió durante la ceremonia de despedida del Cardenal Fernando Vérgez Alzaga, quien hasta el 28 de febrero desempeñó el cargo de Presidente de la Pontificia Comisión para el Estado de la Ciudad del Vaticano y Presidente de la Gobernación. Al alcanzar la edad de 80 años, el Cardenal quiso despedirse con la celebración de la Santa Misa, la mañana del lunes 3 de marzo, en la iglesia de María, Madre de la Familia.
