General Secretary participates in an encounter at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea

International Day of Women in Diplomacy

Sister Raffaella Petrini, General Secretary of the Governorate of Vatican City State, commemorated International Day of Women in Diplomacy, celebrated each year on 24 June, by attending a small reception at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Holy See.

Promoted by the Ambassador of Korea, S.E. Hyunjoo Oh, the reception was held on Friday, 21 June, and included the participation of women ambassadors and chargé d'affaires residing in Rome, and women in leadership roles in the Vatican.

International Day of Women in Diplomacy was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2022, to highlight the importance of women’s involvement in achieving sustainable development, peace and democracy.
